Sandi Thom has a new
single out to download on Saturday 17th August Saturday
Night is a follow up to Devils Beat. This single is great
its very commercial, catch and it has a very strong country
influence it reminds me a little of some of the early Shania
Twain stuff look out for this single and if you haven’t
had chance have a listen to the album The Pink & Lily
This week see’s the new arrival
of plenty of songs by big name artists James Blunts I Really
Want You will be his next single out August 4th its quite
a emotional story of wanting someone that may be you wont
get to be with it’s a nice track that tells a story.
Madcon are a Norwegian hip hop / rap
due who have a single Beggin’ on 11th August followed
by the album So Dark out the week after. Madcon is short
for Music Conspiracy and they have already been compared
to The Black Eyed Peas and I must say there are a good few
similarities and they fit into the same vein as Gnarls Barkly
and Outcast so if they are your style of music then you
should give these guys a listen.
David Jordan Place In My Heart has been
getting plenty of radio play its has a very similar musical
content to his first single Sun Goes Down but I think his
music is very easy going and laid back so it makes a great
wall paper none in your face song and they do tent to do
quite well. Delays are set to release the new single Keep
It Simple in a months time, this is more of a brighter track
with a bigger chorus than there previous stuff.
Solange I Decided is a shimmery summer
smash, with echoes of the Supremes in a big way, it has
a strong Mowtown production that stands out a mile look
out for this on 11th August. The Music The Spike is out
on the same day, this track reminds me a George Michael
stuff around the time he made fast Love that slow tempo
club tune up tempo radio track, may be with a few more guitars.
New in Hot
Pop the Radio show Mark Wilson will be giving his thoughts
on the films out at the cinema. Listen out during Hot Pop
on Sunday night from 9pm or if you cant wait read

Cinema.
