SUNDAY OLDIES | ALIEN INVASION

Between 11:30pm and 12:00am on Saturday 1st July many of our listeners thought Telford was about to be invaded by Aliens from outer space.

The following morning during the Shuttsie's Sunday Morning Oldies Telford FM we where inundated with your phone calls about the mysterious lights in the sky.

This morning we received the following e-mail:

Hi

We have just heard about the commotion we caused last night across Telford!

Let me start by setting the scene - Myself, my partner and some 150 close friends and family were at Madeley Court yesterday - to celebrate our wedding! We decided that a perfect ending to a perfect day would be to organise something quite spectacular for our guests....

This is exactly what we did - we organised for 101 one metre high paper lanterns to be lit and set off over Madeley Court for all to see! Only we didn't realise what a stir it would cause!!!! Just thought we would clear the air so to speak - after seeing the footage and photographs.

Thank you to you and all your listeners for adding yet another great memory of our beautiful day!

Mr & Mrs Carr - Wolverhampton

_____________________________________________________________

The question we have now is this e-mail really from Mr & Mrs Carr in Wolverhampton? or could it be a government cover up or even the aliens themselves as there invasion had to be postponed due to them needing extra translators to understand the Daweley accent?

The mystery carries on...

If you missed Shuttsie's Sunday Morning Oldies listen again to our special Alien Pod Cast.

See the video footage taken by Tracey Talbot of Aqueduct (1.97MB)

Steve from Aqueduct sent in the following Photo's and here's his eye witness report: They came directly over our house in Aqueduct they were at about 250 to 500 feet up coming from the Madeley Court direction.

Natalie Ashman also from Aqueduct saw the lights just before midnight. Natalie says "At first I thought they were really bright stars, until I realised they had a red tint to them and were moving! I managed to take four pictures before I lost site of them".

Natalie's pictures are below:
